Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

The world's film critics may have tired to face the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. When the third series of the franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, released four years ago, the series was criticized sharply for writing the script of the flat with the presence of (too) many supporting characters who unfortunately then failed to get further development . Even so, the audience seemed to have so fallen in love with the character of Captain Jack Sparrow and a series of crazy adventures he faced. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End has become a series with the acceptance of the lowest quality of the film critics in the franchise, adapted from one of the rides at Disneyland. However, commercially, the film managed to collect revenues of more than U.S. $ 900 million from the circulation in the whole world.

The success of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End clearly been demonstrated in the Walt Disney franchise that is appropriate to proceed again. Although the fourth series then this franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, abandoned by director Gore Verbinski and the two stars, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, but it seems it will not provide a particularly strong influence. Jerry Bruckheimer is still loyal to sit in a chair producer and returned with the screenwriter, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, who has handled the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, to return to the text story series this fourth. And obviously, the most important and most essential factor why this franchise will still be able to survive, Johnny Depp back again to play the iconic character of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Apart from the fact that the duration of the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides half an hour shorter when compared with the previous series, the fourth series of the franchise is also able to look a little attractive to re-focus on telling the adventures of the characters rather than personal intrigues among those who attended gained momentum in the previous series. Rob Marshall who replaced Gore Verbinski is still not able to provide something new in this franchise, but the presence of Marshall himself did not make things worse with a couple of times to provide a touch better than Verbinski. Roads still follow the story telling of rhythm and pattern of the previous series - with the addition of a plot about a mermaid princess collection is 'other than the usual legend you hear' that can appear quite attractive. Not disappointing, it still manages to look pretty entertaining, although still very far from the heyday of the early series was achieved earlier this franchise.
